In my second year of university, one of my professors introduced me to an author who has not only had a profound impact on my life but has also played a huge role in the development of my creativity-- introducing Shane Koyzcan! His unique and effortless ability to combine words astonishes me. Oh ya, did I mention he is Canadian? You may recognize him from his mind blowing performance at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver called "We Are More". I'll link the video below for those of you who are yet to be grounded by his words. Above and beyond Koyzcan's talent as an author is his devotion and appreciation for simplicity, energy, nature and love.
Lately I've been extremely appreciative of the people in my life whom I feel simply understand me. As Koyzcan says “We so seldom understand each other. But if understanding is neither here nor there, and the universe is infinite, then understand that no matter where we go we will always be smack dab in the middle of nowhere. All we can do is share some piece of ourselves, and hope that it’s remembered. Hope that we meant something to someone.”

"Each life unravels differently
And experiences are what make up
The colours of our tapestry"
I'm truly blessed to be surrounded by people who have meant so much to me and who have shaped so many of my experiences in such a positive way. And so, this post is dedicated to those of you who've been there-- and who will continue to be there.
