This is the beginning of a makeshift diary of a green eyed girl with big dreams. Due to a perfect combination of boredom and inspiration resulting from this rainy day in June, Jay Emily Diaries has managed to exist beyond the To Do list at the forefront of my mind. I started this blog to share my love for the simple things in life with "my rocks"-- no I do not have pet rocks-- my beautiful friends and family are the rocks that I lean on to stay stong. And so, without further ado...This is Jay Emily, accordingly to Jaclyn Emily, in a nutshell.
I'm a city girl living in the small town of Vernon, British Columbia. I'm loving every minute of my small yet valuable life. I recently graduated from the University of British Columbia and will be moving back to the big city in T minus 7 weeks. As cliche as it is, I've come to learn-- in my short 25 years of life-- that certain endings truly are new beginnings. Somehow though, I know this ending will be bittersweet. I've come to love this town and everything it stands for. I will miss the people and places that I've grown to love over the last four years. I owe a large majority of credit to the places and spaces of this town that have caused my creativity to soar beyond what I thought possible. And so, my first post on my first blog is dedicated to the place I currently call home.
